Microsuction home visits are stand-alone treatments. If you wish to talk about other health concerns this will require a separate clinical consultation and additional costs will apply. What is Microsuction?
Microsuction is a precise technique used to remove ear wax using gentle suction under direct visual guidance. Unlike traditional syringing, microsuction does not involve flushing the ear canal with water and allows the clinician to remove wax safely and accurately.
What to Expect
Appointments typically take around 20–30 minutes. The clinician will first examine the ear canal using specialist equipment before gently removing wax using microsuction.
Most patients experience immediate improvement in hearing following treatment.
Private Blood Tests
PrymaCare offers access to private blood tests for adults where testing is clinically appropriate. Rather than offering large, generic “wellness” panels, we take a symptom-led approach. Your health concerns are assessed first so that the most appropriate tests can be selected and unnecessary testing can be avoided.
Blood tests may help investigate symptoms including:

✔ Recurrent infections

How It Works
- Book an initial consultation with PrymaCare.
- Your symptoms and medical history will be reviewed.
- Appropriate blood tests will be recommended where clinically indicated.
- Your blood sample will be taken through one of our partner phlebotomy clinics at a wide range of convenient locations.
- Your results will be reviewed and explained to you at a follow-up appointment, with advice on treatment or onward referral where needed.
Blood testing is not suitable for medical emergencies. Some symptoms may require assessment through your NHS GP, NHS 111 or hospital services instead.
Pricing / Cost
The cost for private blood tests is additional to your initial consultation fee and each test is priced individually. There will be an additional £60 charge for all blood tests which includes the phlebotomy appointment and subsequent follow-up consultation with your PrymaCare Clinician. All prices will be discussed and agreed with your before proceeding.
Cryotherapy
PrymaCare provides cryotherapy treatment in the comfort of your own home across West Kent.
Cryotherapy may be suitable for:
✔ Common warts
✔ Verrucas
✔ Selected small skin tags
✔ Certain other benign superficial lesions
Every lesion will be assessed before treatment. Cryotherapy will only be offered where the diagnosis is sufficiently clear and treatment is clinically appropriate.
You will be asked to provide clear photographs and information about the lesion before the appointment. This helps us identify obviously unsuitable bookings, but photographs do not replace an in-person clinical assessment.
Important Information
Cryotherapy is not suitable for every lesion. PrymaCare does not remove or treat:
✘ Suspicious or potentially cancerous lesions
✘ Moles requiring diagnostic assessment
✘ Uncertain or deeply pigmented lesions
✘ Lesions requiring surgical excision
✘ Skin conditions requiring specialist dermatology assessment
Where there is any uncertainty about a lesion, you will be advised to see your NHS GP or an appropriate specialist rather than proceeding with treatment.
Pricing
Initial cryotherapy home visit — £120
Includes:
✔ A clinical assessment
✔ Your home visit within our standard West Kent service area
✔ Cryotherapy treatment for up to three suitable lesions
✔ Aftercare advice
Additional lesions — £20 each
Additional suitable lesions can be treated during the same appointment, subject to clinical assessment and available appointment time.
Repeat treatment home visit — £85
Includes repeat treatment of up to three lesions previously assessed and treated by PrymaCare.
Additional lesions at a repeat appointment are charged at £15 each.
Where treatment cannot safely or appropriately proceed following assessment, an assessment fee of £60 will apply. Any remaining balance paid when booking will be refunded.
What to Expect
The treatment involves applying a precisely controlled freezing agent directly to the lesion. Treatment usually takes only a short time, although some lesions may require more than one session.
Following treatment, the area may become:
✔ Red or tender
✔ Swollen
✔ Blistered
✔ Crusted or scabbed
✔ Temporarily lighter or darker than the surrounding skin
You will receive clear aftercare advice and information about when to seek further help.
Will One Treatment Be Enough?
Some small lesions respond after one treatment. However, warts and verrucas commonly require more than one session.
The response cannot be guaranteed, and the number of treatments required will depend on the type, size, location and duration of the lesion. Where repeat treatment is recommended, this will usually be arranged after the treated area has had sufficient time to heal.
Wound Care @ Home
PrymaCare provides home-based wound care for people who find it difficult to attend their GP surgery or treatment room regularly, but who do not meet the criteria for NHS district nursing visits. This can be particularly helpful for people recovering from surgery, living with reduced mobility, relying on family members for transport or finding repeated appointments difficult to manage.
Our wound care service may include:
✔ Assessment of the wound and surrounding skin
✔ Routine dressing changes
✔ Post-operative wound care
✔ Care of minor traumatic wounds, cuts and skin tears
✔ Removal of suitable sutures or clips where clinically appropriate
✔ Monitoring for signs of infection or delayed healing
✔ Advice on wound care, hygiene and dressing management
✔ Liaison with your GP or surgical team, with your consent
✔ Referral for further assessment where required
Who Is This Service For?
✔ You cannot easily travel to your GP surgery or treatment room
✔ You require repeated dressing changes following an operation or injury
✔ You are temporarily less mobile while recovering
✔ Attending regular appointments causes significant practical difficulty
✔ You are not considered housebound and therefore do not qualify for district nursing visits
✔ A relative or carer needs support managing your wound care
The service is available to adults across our standard West Kent home-visit area.
Before Your First Visit
We may ask you to provide:
✔ Information about how the wound occurred
✔ Details of any operation or hospital treatment
✔ Your current dressing plan or discharge paperwork
✔ A list of medical conditions and medication
✔ Photographs of the wound where appropriate
✔ Details of any dressings or products already supplied
Please keep any dressings provided by the hospital, GP surgery or pharmacy available for the appointment.
Where specialist dressings or additional equipment are required, these may need to be prescribed, supplied by your existing healthcare team or charged separately.
Ongoing Wound Care
Some wounds require several dressing changes. Following the first assessment, we can discuss an appropriate schedule based on the wound, the existing care plan and how it is healing.
PrymaCare can provide short-term or episodic wound care but does not replace specialist tissue-viability, vascular, diabetic-foot or community nursing services.
You may be referred back to your GP, surgical team, district nursing service or another specialist where the wound requires care beyond the scope of a home-visiting service.
When Home Wound Care Is Not Appropriate
This is intended to be a routine / pre-planned service. Urgent NHS assessment may be required for:
✘ Heavy or uncontrolled bleeding
✘ A wound that is deep, widely open or may require closure
✘ Rapidly spreading redness or swelling
✘ Severe or worsening pain
✘ Fever, confusion or significant illness
✘ Blackened tissue or concerns about reduced blood supply
✘ A diabetic foot wound
✘ Significant burns
✘ A wound caused by a serious injury, animal bite or human bite
✘ A post-operative wound where internal tissue or surgical material is visible
